To the instant pot in saute mode, add cumin seeds and garlic to to the hot sesame oil. After the raw smell of the garlic goes away, add shallots, tomatoes and peppercorn.

Ingredients
- 1 Sesame oil 1.5 tbsp
- 2 Cumin seeds 1 tsp
- 3 Garlic cloves 3
- 4 black peppercorn 1/2 tsp
- 5 Shallots 2 - 170 gm
- 6 Tomato 2 - 80 gm
- 7 2 handfuls moringa leaves
- 8 Moong dal lentils 1 tbsp
- 9 Toor dal lentils 1 tbsp
- 10 water 3 cups
- 11 Salt 1 tsp
- 12 lime juice 1 tsp
Instructions
- 1 Separate out the moringa leaves from the stalk, wash and drain them thoroughly and keep aside
- 2 Set to saute mode in the instant pot and add 1.5 tbsp of sesame oil.
- 3 Once the oil is sufficiently hot, add cumin seeds, garlic cloves and saute till the raw flavor of garlic goes away.
- 4 Add shallots and saute till golden brown.
- 5 Add in tomatoes.
- 6 Add in the washed moong dal and toor dal lentils and saute for 2 mins
- 7 Add water and salt and close the lid of instant pot.
- 8 Pressure cook for 7 mins on high.
- 9 Let the pressure release for 5 mins and then quick release.
- 10 Once the lid is opened, change to saute mode in the instant pot and add in the washed moringa leaves and let it boil for 10 mins and turn off the instant pot.
- 11 Now strain the ingredient of the soup through a sieve and grind the ingredients collected in the sieve on a mixer with a little soup water.
- 12 Pour the ground wet mixture of the ingredients and the moringa leaves from the mixer to the soup and stir well.
- 13 Add in the lime juice.
- 14 Adjust salt and pepper to your taste and liking and serve hot.
