    Ingredients

    • Coriander Seeds
    • Red chilli
    • Cumin Seeds
    • Peppercorns
    • Poppy Seeds ( Khus Khus)
    • Fennel Seeds (Saunf)
    • Cinnamon

    How to make this Spice blend?

    Dry roast each of the ingredients separately. Keep it aside in a plate. Allow to cool off completely and blend in a mixer jar.

    Top Tip: Always use a couple of drops of oil to roast the red chilies. It prevents chilies from getting scorched and allows for even roasting, ensuring a more balanced and enjoyable spice mix.

    Ingredients

    Coriander Seeds - ¾ cup

    Red Chillies - 30 nos

    Cumin Seeds (Jeera ) - 2 tbsp

    Black Peppercorn - 1.5 tbsp

    Poppy Seeds - 2 tsp

    Fennel Seeds - 2 tsp

    Cinnamon Powder - ⅛ tsp


    Instructions

    Dry roast coriander seeds and red chilies one by one in a kadai/ wok until they get heated and start releasing a nice aroma. Keep the flame in low to medium heat.

    Remember to add a couple of drops of oil to the wok when roasting the dry red chilies to prevent them from burning.

    Add the rest of the ingredients to the wok and roast them together since they are all in a much smaller quantity.

    Remove each of the ingredients after roasting them separately and place them in a plate and allow them to cool.

    When they have cooled off completely, put them all in a mixer jar blender and grind them to a fine powder.
